Our Trust of Schools

Results and Ofsted

Why does Ofsted Inspect Schools?

Ofsted inspects schools to provide information to parents, to promote improvement and to hold schools to account for the public money they receive. School inspections are required by law. Ofsted provides an independent assessment of the quality and standards of education in schools, and checks whether pupils are achieving as much as they can.

Ofsted Inspection May 2025

Honiton Community College was last inspected in May 2025.

Honiton is a good school, having achieved a good rating in all areas from Ofsted, including the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development and leadership and management.

Inspectors recognised that we have “raised the ambition for what pupils can achieve” and our work to improve the quality of education “has resulted in pupils achieving more highly in their qualifications”, with our students happy and “better prepared for their next steps.”
